This is no surprise as the topography is mostly mountains and highlands separated by plains and on the coastline, beautiful white sandy beachs.

Some of Thailand’s most famous islands (Ko) are located in Krabi. These include the Mu Ko Phi Phi, Ko Rok and Ko Lanta, all nestled in the clear waters of the Andaman Sea which is also home to colourful coral reefs and other great dive spots.

The limestone cliffs and caves throughout the province are a prime attraction for rock climbers and other active adventurers.

Legend has it that the province owes its name to the discovery of a large ancient sword called “Krabi” and later the discovery of a smaller one.
When the province was established the Governor had the two swords mounted crossed in Tham Khao Khanap Nam. These crossed swords are part of the provincial seal.

We invite you to discover and enjoy the beauty and legends of Krabi.
